George Beighley

George C. Beighley is a shareholder of Richardson Plowden in the Columbia office. He focuses his practice on medical malpractice defense. He is also a certified mediator. Before joining the firm, Mr. Beighley was the assistant attorney general for the State of South Carolina from 1975 to 1978.

Mr. Beighley’s experience includes: 

• Representing insurance companies in major medical malpractice claims
• Defending physicians, dentists, and practices in medical and professional malpractice cases 
• Providing legal risk management services to major hospital networks and physicians practices

• Certified Circuit Court Mediator by the South Carolina Supreme Court
• Certified by S.C. Supreme Court as an Arbitrator
